Our mission, the reason why we exist as a church, is to help people become better disciples of Jesus and equip them to help others do the same.
We do this through helping people CONNECT with Jesus, to LEARN what he taught, LIVE how he lived and DO what he has commissioned us to do.
To make it simple we’ve broken down what it means to be a disciple of Jesus into 10 key values that we hold as a Christian community.
These are not ‘qualifications’ to be a disciple – the only thing Jesus asks us to do, to be His disciples, is to follow him. Our values simply help us connect with Jesus better each day, learn what He taught, live as He lived and find purpose in what He has commissioned us to do.
We model a life that connects with Jesus, through being:
Constant in Prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
Led by the Spirit (Romans 8:14, 2 Timothy 1:7)
Gathered in Unity (Hebrews 10:25, Ephesians 4:3)
Thankful in Worship (Hebrews 12:28-29, Psalm 100)
We model a life that is learning what Jesus taught, by being:
Equipped with the Word (1 Peter 3:15, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Devoted to Change (Ephesians 4:22-24, James 1:23)
We model a life that lives as Jesus lived, when we:
Make Good Choices (Romans 12:1-2, Colossians 2:6-7)
Love Each Other (John 15:12, Ephesians 5:1-2)
We model a life that does what Jesus commissioned us all to do, when we:
Love Our Neighbour (Matthew 22:37-39)
Make Disciples (Matthew 28:19)
